There has, very infrequently, been times when Scotch whisky and the original whiskey, Irish ; ) , have crossed paths. It has traditional been opposed and frowned upon by the Scottish Whisky Association, but there have been releases that have slipped the net.

On this tasting, Mark Lonergan will expertly weave you through these very interesting outliers in the whiskey world, exploring how these came to be.

These blends form a category in their own right, with no real definition, but these cross border renegades definitely have a place in any tasting or collection.
