About The Masterclass

Ceramic crocks for storing whiskey and drinks were used before industrial glass bottles were widely available from the late 1800’s.

Since the 1950’s, crocks have primarily been used for attracting tourist sales, primarily in airport duty frees, but not always. Even though the focus has been on tourist sales, this hasn’t stopped some extremely interesting liquids being released, from Woodford & Bourne Poitín being sold (kinda illegally..!!) at Shannon Airport Duty Free in the 1970’s, to some amazing Pot Stills and Blends coming from Kilbeggan/ Brusna Distillery from the 1950’s onwards.

Fionnán will showcase these and more at this very interesting historical journey of whiskey crocks.

Don’t miss out….!!
