Robert and Bhagya Barrett started Rebel City Distillery in 2020, the first distillery in Cork city in 50yrs. Although not a whiskey distillery, they produce the amazing Maharani gin, using Indian botanicals from Bhagya’s native Kerala in India, as well as a citrs vodka and Ireland’s only absinthe.

The working distillery is located in the industrial old Ford car electrical transformer building. It’s an amazing immersive space to visit and relax with a wee drop and a cocktail.
